Arkansas Youth Basketball Camps

Is it hard to get a college basketball coach to notice you? Well, it's actually easier than you think. Let me take you through 3 tips to get you started.

You Contact Them!!!

Coaches are easier to contact than you think. All major programs have a website. On the site is a staff directory. On the staff directory is a listing for Women's Basketball. Under Women's basketball is an email address and phone number listing. Why not use it.

Attend their basketball camp!!!

All major programs have basketball camps during the summer months normally around June or July. There is no better place to get a college basketball coach to see you than at their own gym. Not only that, you can have an actually one-on-one conversation with them, their staff and players. It's the perfect opportunity to see who they are off the court.

Get in the newspaper!!!

Coaches are always looking for players. One of the first places they look for players is in the local newspaper. So, if your local paper keeps up with prep sports and their statistics and you are scoring points, congratulations you have this tip covered.

Here is a bonus tip for you. Be realistic. Do you have the skills to play collegiate basketball? With that said, college coaches look for and at different qualities and abilities from players. One coach may be looking for a rebounder, while another coach is looking for a scorer. You never know what a coach is looking for.
